UPDATE: Microsoft has now confirmed MX Unleashed is indeed one of the new original Xbox titles to support the Xbox One backwards compatibility feature. Original article follows.

Currently, there are rumours that the rather excellent MX Unleashed could be one of the next titles to support backwards compatibility with the Xbox One console.

The motocross title, developed by Rainbow Studios, released back in 2004 across the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and mobile platforms and was revered by critics boasting Metacritic aggregate score as high as 81.

According to Polygon, the title (along with other THQ Nordic (formally THQ) titles of The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind, Destroy All Humans, and Full Spectrum Warrior) was seen on a store listing on the official Xbox website with a release date of April 10, 2018.

We certainly won't have long to wait to find out if these rumours are true or not as Microsoft will reveal news on original Xbox backwards compatible titles with today's episode of "Inside Xbox" expected to stream at 15:30 PT.
