We’ve been waiting oh so patiently for the release date announcement for Truck Driver, that wait will finally come to an end “next week” according to a Tweet from publisher SOEDESCO.
Also, the release date announcement is coming next week!

To coincide with the announcement for the release date announcement (confused yet?), SOEDESCO has also revealed the updated box art for Truck Driver which you can see enlarged below.
The trucking sim will release across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC putting you in the shoes of a truck driver who’s just inherited their uncle’s truck. Your goal is to make a name for yourself in a new city to earn the respect of the local community.
Truck Driver features a seamless open world which will see you connect with a range of different people across multiple industries as you carry out delivery jobs to earn cash which can be used to customise your trucks with “tons” of different parts altering both the look and performance.
As you complete more and more jobs you’ll be able to unlock skills and rewards ranging from improved tyre durability to the ability to drive longer without having to rest.
Interestingly, the CEO of developer Triangle Studios, Remco de Rooij, has previously stated the original Truck Driver map was scrapped as it wasn’t enough of a fun experience. An entirely rebuilt map has been built boasting increased variety in landscapes, along with more buildings and more defined areas.
We’ll keep you updated on the release date announcement next week, the game is expected to release with the price point of €39.99.
