Originally released on the PS Store as a download-only game back in May, indie studio Rising Star Games has announced the futuristic co-op racer Trailblazers will be getting a physical release in September on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The digital version, which was supposed to be released in June on the Switch, will also be available on the Nintendo eShop in September.
To mark the release, both physical editions of Trailblazers will come with extra content, including ‘Boo’s Dad’ as a new playable character and “increased single-player content,” but Rising Star Games didn’t go into specifics. Pricing and an exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, but the digital version currently sells for £24.99 on the PS Store.
Trailblazers is best described as F-Zero meets Splatoon. Racing in teams of up to three-versus-three, you can paint your team’s colour on the track to create the best racing line – the more you paint, the faster you can go, as driving over your team’s colour will give you a speed boost.
