If you thought game collectors editions were getting expensive, you haven't seen anything yet.
In case you weren't aware, the upcoming release of Final Fantasy XV actually has some driving elements in it. It also had a recent feature film tie-in, Kingsglaive Final Fantasy XV, which featured a custom-built Audi R8. Audi Japan has since announced that this Final Fantasy-themed R8 (officially named the Audi R8 Star of Lucis) can now be yours for 50,000,015 yen (£370,000) – that's nearly three times more than a stock Audi R8 V10.
Oh, and there's only one available. To be in with a chance of owning one, you have to submit an application on November 21st to be entered into a raffle randomly choosen by Audi before you can cough up the cash.
Based on the Audi R9 V10, the detailing on the Audi R8 Star of Lucis is exquisite, with floral patterns embedded into the trim and rose petal wheels designed to mimic the kingdom's swords. It also comes in a striking Ultrossic Black said to reflect royal black of the Kingdom of Lucis.
In terms of performance, the Audi R8 Star of Lucis sports a 5.2 litre V10 engine capable of reaching a top speed of 330km/h and a 7-speed transmission.
Of course, this isn't the first time a game has had a real world car tie-in – remember the expensive limited edition BAC Mono created for Grid 2?
