Welcome to another installment of the TeamVVV Podcast for all your weekly racing game rambles.

This week’s talking point focuses on Gran Turismo Sport’s delay until 2017 – suffice to say, none of us were surprised, given Polyphony’s notorious track record for delays.

Elsewhere, I was very happy to learn that demolition derby racer Wreckfest is heading to consoles following its release on Steam Early Access – never has car damage looked so realistic in a game – it’s practically fetishistic. It’s been so long since we’ve seen a proper banger racing game on consoles that we inevitably reminisced about some of our favourites such as the classic Destruction Derby series and the obscure Test Drive: Eve of Destruction which is arguably one of the most realistic representations of banger racing in a game.

With less than a month to go until Forza Horizon 3, we inevitably turn our attentions to Playground Games’ promising new entry in the open world series – not only has it now gone gold, but there’s also a surprise addition to the vehicle roster with the announcement of the Halo Warthog.

We also discuss Fanatec’s new CSL Elite peripheral range for PC and Xbox One as well as the WipEout-inspired RedOut which came out this week. Naturally, being a WipEout fan Alan couldn’t stop raving about it.

All this and more in the latest episode of the TeamVVV Podcast which you can listen to below. Who knows, maybe we’ll end up on iTunes one day…

As always, we welcome your feedback on the podcast and are open to suggestions on future topics.
