News The Crew: New Wild Run expansion trailer showcases graphical overhaul

Ubisoft have released a new trailer which showcases The Crew's upcoming Wild Run expansion which was first revealed at this year's E3 back in June.

The most impressive part of the trailer has to be the comparisons between the current graphics and the new updated graphics which have had a complete overhaul and will launch when the Wild Run expansion goes live later this year.

The comparisons reveal that The Crew will feature wet weather effects for the first time as we get to see a very wet scene with rain coming down, water droplets filling the screen, water tricking down the sides of the rocks and roads are strewn with shallow puddles, it all looks pretty impressive I have to say. Check out the new trailer below.

What we don't see during the comparison segment sadly is a dry scene from the current game versus a dry scene with the upgraded graphics. However it's worth mentioning just how much better the car looks with the upgraded graphics, making the original look very flat indeed.

The Wild Run expansion adds bikes (Ducati confirmed), monster trucks, drift cars and drag cars which can be seen racing on the salt flats. All of this madness takes place in several locations in The Crew's giant map. It certainly raised a few eyebrows when it was first revealed at E3 and is exactly the shot in the arm The Crew needs to keep the game fresh.

The Crew Wild Run expansion releases on November 17 this year and is bundled in The Crew Wild Run Edition and The Crew Complete Edition. You also have the option to purchase the Wild Run expansion to add to your existing game on Xbox One, PS4 and PC platforms.
