Demolition Derby, the second free update brought to Ubisoft’s open world racer, The Crew 2, releases today and will available to play across the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
The Demolition Derby update introduces the brand new Demolition Derby discipline where players will battle it out across two new arenas to earn a top-three spot by gaining high scores. Four new demolition derby cars will be included in the update and regardless of whether you’re in a specific mode or indeed in freedrive the demolition derby cars will be completely destructible (sounds like fun).
You can view the mayhem for yourself in the trailer below.
Besides the Demolition Derby content, today’s update also adds the long-awaited PvP mode to The Crew 2. Starting at the Rookie level, up to eight players can compete against each other in a variety of disciplines, including Street Racing and Motocross, in a constantly renewed selection of events across the gigantic US map. The PvP also includes PvP leagues which players can take part in for higher rewards.
The update will also feature more Drift, Alpha Grand Prix and Rally Cross challenges as well as additional skills and in-game activities. As part of The Crew 2’s monthly vehicle drop, the Audi RS3 LMS – 2017 and the Aeroboat – VS12 – 2018 will also be available for all players.
According to the development team, the release of Demolition Derby is just the next step in The Crew 2 post-launch development schedule, and the team is committed to continue introducing new content through regular updates in the forthcoming months.
