With the recent wet weather update for Gran Turismo Sport, we thought it was fitting to take to the race track for a test run.

Whilst we were hoping for a substantial wet weather update, the latest Gran Turismo Sport update only saw the introduction of two wet-weather tracks: ‘Red Bull Ring’ and ‘Red Bull Ring Short Track’.

As expected, we had to be more progressive on the power, brake earlier for turns, and we found we couldn’t lean on the tyres as much as we could on a dry circuit. Having said that, we had a sneaky suspicion that there was too much grip on the curbs and white lines.

Visually, the game portrayed a wet scene very well, although we were left a little underwhelmed due to the fact there were no water droplets on the screen on the bumper view camera, clearly, Gran Turismo Sport has some way to go to keep up with its competitors.

You can view our test drive on a very wet Red Bull Ring in the video below.
