Trying to decipher exactly what Codemasters is up to was the main talking point of this week's podcasts, as the release of their free-to-play mobile racing game Drive: USA bewilders everyone while speculation on DiRT 4 continues to mount with hints that Codemasters could have multiple rally games in development.
Elsewhere, episode 9 was dominated by new in-game car announcements. We got the forst obligatory Forza 5 car DLC pack sparking more grumbles about the logestics of paid-for DLC, but more remarkable was unveil of the Toyota FT-1 Concept Car announced simultaneously alongside its digital debut in Gran Turismo 6 in the V1.03 patch update. Polyphony being timely? Who would have thought it?
New car announcements also dominated the PC racing sim scene – Assetto Corsa will be getting the mighty McLaren P1 making it the first PC sim game to include both this and the fetching La Ferrari, whereas Project CARS was bestowed with the ultra-rare Pagani Zonda Cinque.
The biggest surprise however was the possible reveal of Ferrari and Lamborghini in DriveClub. Except you weren't supposed to know that. So don't tell anyone.
