Welcome to another episode of the Team VVV Podcast for all your weekly racing game rambles.
With just over a month until release of MotoGP 17, we were starting to wonder how Milestone is planning to innovate the series. This week we got the answer. Rather than cramming in more racing disciplines which made Valentino Rossi The Game lack focus, MotoGP 17 will feature a new Managerial Career mode, which should hopefully add some depth to the core game allowing you to play the role of a team manager which is something you rarely see in licensed motorsport games. We discuss the potential of this new mode and whether it could be a game-changer for the series.
We also give our impressions on the latest Project CARS 2 gameplay trailer featuring the mighty McLaren 720S, and give you the lowdown on the recently announced special editions of the game.
Elsewhere, new details emerged for the next Need for Speed game revealing that the game will be playable offline following criticism of the 2015 reboot, meaning you will be able to pause the game this time – quite a revolutionary feature in 2017. We also give our initial impressions of the Forza Horizon 3 Hot Wheels Expansion and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Nintendo Switch.
Thanks as always for listening, and don't forget to leave us your questions for the weekly Q&A.
