Originally scheduled for launch next month, Team Sonic Racing has now been delayed to May 21, 2019.
The delay will enable the development team “to make Team Sonic Racing the best game it can be”, the team has also teased more of the title will be shown “very soon”.
Developed by Sumo Digital (the studio behind the two Sonic All-Stars Racing releases), Team Sonic Racing focuses on team-based racing which requires players to work together to defend against opposing team members and to share the effects of speed boosts and power-ups.
The title boasts 15 playable characters with nine unique upgrades, which vary from visual touches to performance enhancements.
Team Sonic Racing features a host of local and online multiplayer modes, as well as a Time Trial mode. The colourful racer also has support for 12-player online and four-player split-screen local multiplayer races.
Team Sonic Racing will be released for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch platforms on May 21, 2019. Will have more on the speedy blue hedgehog soon.
