A recent Sumo Digital job vacancy listing has revealed the studio is working on a new entry for what's described as "one of the most succesful driving franchises of all time".
The Sheffield-based game developer is looking for a Vehicle Handling and Performance Specialist, with (as stated in this listing)"a background of successful game design experience" and "an understanding of (and passion for) car handling, set-up and the console racing genre" being desired qualities from prospective employees
Upon employment, the succesful applicant will be primarily assigned the duty of "tweaking the physics and performance characteristics of a wide range of vehicles" in an upcoming game that's part of "one of the most successful driving franchises of all time".
Sumo Digital has had prior experience with racing games that are part of "succesful driving franchises", with the studio having developed titles for the OutRun, Driver, TOCA/Race Driver and Formula One series.
It is unknown at this moment in time, however, if this upcoming racing game is or isn't based on a licence that Sumo has previously worked with.
On a separate note, the job listing also confirmed that Sumo Digital is also working on "several other unannounced" games.
