News Season 3 of Forza Racing Championship to commence on 1st May

The Porsche-themed third season of the Forza Racing Championship officially commences on 1st May 2017.
Hosted on Forza Motorsport 6, the new 'Elite' portion of the esports series tasks competitors with either setting hot lap times in-game in a dedicated Rivals mode, or participating in online multiplayer races.
In order to participate in the third season of the Forza Racing Championship, entrants will first need to register with Gfinity here. Entrants will also need to have access to the Forza Motorsport 6 Porsche Expansion in order to take part in the Rivals events and online races.
In total, 192 players from each of the five regions supported in Season 3 of the Forza Racing Championship (Europe, Middle East and Africa; North America; Latin America; Oceanic; Asia) will be entered into the weekly racing championships; with each successive round of heats, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final Cup race tasking competitors with racing in different Porsche models. Based on points accumulated throughout the Cups, the 50 most succesful drivers will be entered into the season finale Porsche Cups.
The new-to-the-Forza-Racing-Championship Rivals sections works in a slightly different way, with the 1,000 fastest from each leaderboard acquiring points based on where their respective times were placed. The 50 Rivals participants with the highest points tally will join the drivers from the multiplayer races – alongside eight guest contestants – in the Porsche Cups final.
