Psyonix have revealed the release date for their upcoming Playstation 4 and PC 'car-soccer' title Rocket League. After some teasing of an announcement on their Twitter page for several days the developer revealed, through a new trailer, that the game will release on July 7.
A cool feature unveiled for Rocket League is its Playstation 4/ PC cross-platform multiplayer which should make for some interesting results. Furthermore, the game will feature a post-game replay editor, dedicated servers, and as an added bonus the Playstation 4 version of Rocket League will include Sweet Tooth's ice-cream van from the much-loved Twisted Metal series (you know the vehicle with the flaming clown's head on top of it, yeah that one).
Community and Marketing Director at Psyonix, Jeremy Dunham, also announced that Rocket League will be making an appearance at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and will be playable in near-finished form at Sony’s own booth in the West Hall. This version is said to include the game's Season Mode and split screen multiplayer. You'll also get to see the car customisation, and the psychotic clown Sweet Tooth will be on show too.
