Psyonix have just launched a Playstation 4 closed beta test for their upcoming car football game Rocket League. Beta keys are said to be available in limited quantities, but numbers will expand as the beta moves along.

Community and Marketing Director of Psyonix, Jeremy Dunham, commented that Psyonix had recently hit their "feature complete" milestone. On the Playstation blog Dunham revealed that the game's released had been pushed back, he said: "Development is in the final stretch, but given that we’re running out of spring months, our target release date is changing to summer 2015. Our number-one priority is bringing you, our fans, a fun, high-quality game and we want to do whatever it takes to make that happen."

The Playstation 4 Rocket League closed beta is only open to those living in North America. The beta will be available to play between the hours of 9.00am-9.00pm Pacific, the beta's ending date is due to be announced sometime in early May.

The closed beta test is primarily to test match matching and server functions. As this is a beta most of the game's content will be locked out including the Season Mode and Car Customisation. You can sign up for the Rocket League closed beta here. Rocket League is scheduled to release for the Playstation 4 this summer.
