News Rocket League, played by over 33 million, is two today

Rocket League celebrates its two year birthday today, developer Psyonix has revealed that the car football indie sensation has over 33 million (m) registered players.
Of these 33m, 6.1m play every month, 3.3m play per week and a staggering 1.6m players play the game every single day. Furthermore, the developer approximates that as many as 70% of the player base has purchased at least one piece of DLC.
This week saw the release of the “Anniversary Update” for Rocket League which gives players access to a free new arena entitled “Champions Field” as well as free Rick & Morty customisation items and a number of other bonus items as listed below.
‘Rocket League Radio,’ which adds a new default music playlist “Rocket League x Monstercat” with 18 new tracks from EDM music label Monstercat
New Import Battle-Cars 'Animus GP' and 'Centio V17,' available exclusively as drops inside the new 'Overdrive Crate'
New Overdrive Crate with the potential to unlock animated decals, brand-new trails, and more
New customization options like 'Engine Audio,’ ‘Goal Explosions,' and 'Trails' that are a mix of FREE selections and Crate drops
End to ‘Competitive Season 4’ and Trail rewards distributed to competing players based on their highest skill tier reached
Beginning of ‘Competitive Season 5’ with new changes
