News Rocket League: new season & Hot Wheels DLC arrives today

Today marks the start of Rocket League‘s ninth season which brings the release of the Hot Wheels Triple Threat DLC celebrating 50 years of the famous brand.
The Hot Wheels Triple Threat DLC, priced at $5.99, includes three new battle-cars (with four unique decals each), and the “Gorilla”, “Snake”, and “Spider” toppers.
There’s also some free content up for grabs: all players will have access to Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary-themed customisation items. The update expected today will also add the brand new Hot Wheels Rivals Arena.
Additionally, the physical Hot Wheels Rocket League 5-Pack will be available worldwide in mid-October. The Gazella GT, MR11, Fast 4WD, Bone Shaker, and Twin Mill III battle-cars are brought to life as diecast toys and specially marked packs will include a code that unlocks the exclusive in-game DLC item, “Hot Hot Wheels”.
