The world-renowned Road America raceway has been added to Forza Motorsport 5 free of charge, as part of a new update for the Xbox One-exclusive racing game.
Beyond being a mere add-on to Forza Motorsport 5, developer Turn 10 Studios has extensivley integrated the new track into the heart of the game's singleplayer and multiplayer components – players will be able to race on the four-mile-long Road America route in the title's career mode, along with an array of singleplayer bonus events upon completing a 'Mini-Career' series of track-based challenges.
To mark the next-gen re-release of Road America, new Rivals modes and multiplayer lobbies dedicated to the iconic road racing route have also been made available for online Forza racers to experience.
Much like the rest of the core game's circuit layouts, Road Atlanta – a track that's appeared in every core Forza Motorsport release bar FM2 – has been re-modelled from the ground-up, in order to bring the legendary circuit's cambers and crests to the standard of its laser-scanned contemporaries in Forza Motorsport 5.
Whilst the Road America track itself requires little more than a stable Internet connection to access, a celebratory 'Road America Booster Pack' car bundle has been made released, adding five cars to the racing title. The official announcement confirmed the Booster Pack will be made available to Forza Motorsport 5 Car Pass holders free of charge, but no additional pricing details have been cited at time of writing.
The full car list for the Road America Booster Pack, however, has been revealed, and goes as such:
- 2006 #2 Audi Sport North America R8
- 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1
- 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4
- 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1
- 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series
