Indie development team Vector Unit have announced the release date for their water racer Riptide GP Renegade and it’s coming sooner than you may think.
Riptide GP Renegade will bring its brand of retro-inspired water racing action to the PlayStation 4 and PC platforms on July 26 with an Xbox One version to follow in the future.
“With Riptide GP: Renegade, we’ve cranked up the action to make it more of a classic arcade racer,” says CEO and Creative Director Matt Small. “It still has the speed and dynamic water that players love. But the races are bigger and more explosive, with transforming vehicles, interactive obstacles, and secret shortcuts.”
In Riptide GP Renegade you’ll race rocket-powered watercraft in a number of futuristic environments while outrunning police and puling mid-air stunts off ramps. Vector Unit have confirmed that the water racer will include a single player Career mode, 8 player online races, asynchronous ghost racing challenges, and split screen local multiplayer.
