The official packshots for Milestone's bike have been revealed, showcasing some of the licensed bike models we can expect to see in the final game when it launches this March. Yes, a bike racing game featuring bikes on the cover can qualify as a news story.
Each format, i.e. PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC, has a different set of bikes gracing the cover art. While I'm no expert at identifying bikes, FaceBook fans have suggested that the PS4 art contains a Yamaha MT09, Ducati Panigale, Triumph Speed Triple, 1199 Superleggera, MV-Agusta Brutale 1090 RR and Aprilia RSV4-R, whereas the Xbox One cover features the KTM Superduke 1290, Aprilia RSV4-R and Suzuki GSX R1000. The PC version, on the other hand, features a Ducati Panigale 1199 Superleggera, KTM 1190 RC8 and Honda CBR600-RR according to the fan. Meanwhile, the PS3 version features a Yamaha MT09, CBR600-RR, KTM 1190 RC8, Honda CBR600-RR and Ducati Panigale 1199 Superleggera, while the Xbox 360 has the same bikes seen on the PS3 cover with the addition of a Kawasaki Z1000.
With only two months until the final release, it's puzzling to see just how little marketing Ride has received – we've seen very few official screenshots, and there still haven't been any gameplay videos aside from promotional videos showcasing some of the bike models which is no substitute. Hopefully this will be rectified in the next few weeks, especially if Milestone doesn't want Ride to be overshadowed by Project CARS due for release the same week.
