Ride has faced a number of setbacks and delays lately. Already a week late, it pulled up onto PC, PS4 and PS3 at the end of last month in the UK, but the rest of Europe, and indeed UK Xbox One players, have to wait until April 10th before they can get to grips with Milestone's new bike racing IP on consoles.
Unfortunately, American players will have to wait even longer, as US publisher Bandai Namco has informed us that Ride will now be released on June 23rd in the US for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and Steam. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will be digital only releases.
Meanwhile, existing players have been dealing with a frustrating glitch that's causing widespread game save file corruption.
Milestone are said to be working on a patch to rectify the issue, but until then it's best not to touch the World Tour mode. They released the following statement citing the causes of the corruption:
"We want to inform you that the causes of the save game corruption and crashes are the following:
– Inviting friends in your motoclub
We are putting all our efforts in working on the patch that will solve these issues and other minor ones following your feedbacks and suggestions.
PC/Steam patch is yet online. Console patch will be released shortly after following the approval process of the platform holders."
