With Alan's all-singing, all-dancing gaming PC finally set up, we're finally able to delve into the mindfield that is the PC racing simulation market. As such, you can expect the Team VVV YouTube channel and website to be flooded with PC racing game content over the next few weeks.
These first run of gameplay videos offer a first look at some of the market's big-name titles as Alan starts to hone his skills in a series of practice sessions. Last time we took R3E for an initial test drive, which made us gasp in awe at its staggering sense of speed. Now we're turning our attentions onto rFactor 2, a PC sim that's been somewhat overshadowed by the likes of Project CARS, Assetto Corsa and iRacing, particularly in the graphical department, but still has a loyal fanbase thanks to its sophisticated physics, white knuckle racing action and a steady stream of downloadable content – both official and from the modding community.
In our first look video at rFactor 2, Alan gets to grips with the default package in a Renault Clio Cup race at Lime Rock Park – the idea is that you can download additional cars and tracks and mould the game to your desire.
In fact, Alan enjoyed it so much he was obliviious to the fact he had completed 10 more more laps without realising the race had already finished.

Expect more rFactor 2 videos to come as we explore the many mods and additional tracks and cars with the aid of Alan's upcoming triple screen setup.
