The Red Bull Ring will be added to Assetto Corsa's ever growing track list soon and ahead of release developer Kunos Simulazioni have released some screenshots showcasing the track.
The Red Bull Ring began life as the Osterreichring, eighteen years later it was shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring, between the two configurations they hosted the Formula One Austrian Grand Prix for 25 years.
Formula One essentially “outgrew” the A1-Ring and plans to extend the layout began, demolition of the track and grandstands went ahead however construction stopped and the circuit was left unusable for several years. It was later purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt and renamed the Red Bull Ring which returned to the Formula One calendar in 2014.
The Red Bull Ring will be included in the upcoming “Red Pack” DLC along with seven cars including the Maserati 250F, Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce and the Ferrari SF15-T driven by none other than Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen in last year's Formula One World Championship.
The Red Pack DLC for Assetto Corsa will release on July 14. Check out the latest Red Bull Ring screenshots in the gallery below.
