With the release of Project CARS we believe that many of you will be racing with a wheel for the very first time, so we thought we'd focus on giving you guys some basic tips to help get you started. In the video below Alan takes a look at calibrating your wheel, gradually removing assists as you get more experienced and adjusting your field of view (FOV) in order to get the maximum from your experience.
Setting up your game to your liking is all about trial and error, whenever you tweak a setting try out the game for a lap or two and decide whether the change suits you or not. If it doesn't then change the setting again and test it as before, if the setting works for you then move onto the next. Although it's tempting to dive right in with racing games, it really is worth spending a fair amount of time getting all the settings tailored around your personal preferences first.
You may find that different cars will require different assists and POV settings so we recommended jotting down your favourite settings for each car so you can quickly set up every car up to your liking in a speedy fashion.
