The recent severe storms in Sydney, Australia, have caused flooding in some areas. One such area was the very warehouse that Namco Bandai chose to keep their stock for the PC version of Project CARS. Needless to say, these copies suffered severe water damage by the floods.
Due to this event, Australians and New Zealanders that have ordered the boxed PC version will unfortunately not be receiving their copy of the much anticipated racer on launch day. Rest assured though, Namco Bandai Australia have delayed the release of the PC version of Project CARS for just the one day, so you'll be hopefully playing the game on Friday, May 8.
Apparently it's not just the boxed PC versions either, the game's DLC codes, which were printed on paper, were soaked and ruined too, so even the digital copies may be delayed one day too while Bandai Namco get re-printing those.
Getting fresh copies and DLC codes out in one day is quite an undertaking, if Bandai Namco can pull this off then they are doing very well indeed. Are you affected by this recent development?
