I think it's fair to say that 2016 is shaping up to be a fantastic year in the world of the racing genre, and it's about to get ever better thanks to Slightly Mad Studios today announcing a “Game of the Year Edition” (GOTY) for Project CARS due for release in Spring.
Available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms, the GOTY edition boasts an additional 50 cars bringing the total up to 125, and will benefit from four extra tracks. Additionally, the GOTY edition will feature the combined Nurburgring Nordschleife and Grand Prix circuit and the Slightly Mad team have even thrown in two Pagani models in the shape of the Zonda Revolucion and the Huayra BC for good measure.
As with all announcements in the video game industry we are greeted with an obligatory teaser trailer showing some (well one piece) of the goods on offer which can be viewed below.
If you already own Project CARS don't fret, as all of the additional content for the GOTY edition listed above will be made available for everyone. So far it's unclear if the vast majority of the additional cars are from previously released DLC packs. Slightly Mad Studios haven't yet confirmed any season pass options, we'll bring you more on the GOTY edition as soon as new details emerge.
