Formula Fords, or Formula Rookies as they're known in Project CARS, are an ideal entry point to the world of single seaters in Project CARS, but they're still tricky to tame, requiring smooth inputs and straight-line braking to keep them under control as they have a tendancy to spin out. Add 35 cars on track at once, and things can get pretty chaotic (check out the first corner contact), as Alan found in this heated race at Donnington in our latest look at the near-final PS4 build of Project CARS in action.
Despite having to handle such a large grid of AI cars, the PS4 managed to cope under the strain even after a chaotic first corner pileup, retaining a smooth 60fps throughout. 60fps may not be very common in console games, but it could well be very difficult to go back once you've experienced the fluidity in Project CARS.
