Project CARS 2 developer Slightly Mad Studios has disclosed new information on the title's rallycross features.
According to the aforementioned studio, Project CARS 2's rallycross content will also boast "complete authenticity" credentials – as a result of the laser-scanned tracks, the technical partnership with the highly succesful OSME rallycross team and the use of Global Rallycross Championship drivers Mitchell deJong and Oliver Eriksson as official consultants.
Interestingly, a Renault Megane rallycross car can be spotted in the official announcement trailer. As Slightly Mad Studios hasn't officially confirmed the car will be present in Project CARS 2, it's unknown if the vehicle will be included in the title from launch.
Project CARS 2 promises to have the most diverse line-up of licensed rallycross tracks of any racing game outside of more specialised off-road titles, too. At time of writing, the following seven venues have been confirmed for the title:
- Circuit de Loheac
- DirtFish Rally School
- Daytona International Speedway
- Knockhill Racing Circuit
- Lydden Hill Race Circuit
Project CARS 2 is currently on track to be released later this year on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. New information on the title is expected to be disclosed in the coming weeks.
