Project CARS 2 will officially go on sale later this year on Friday 22nd September 2017.
Set to be released on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms, Project CARS 2 will also differ from its predecessor in not having a staggered global release schedule.
The release date announcement also means Project CARS 2 has a chance of being released almost alongside its arch rival Forza Motorsport 7. With the three most recent Forza titles going on sale in mid-to-late September, it's highly likely that Project CARS 2 will appear on store shelves either shortly before or after its Turn 10 Studios-developed competitor is made available to the public.
To accompany the release date announcement, a new 'E3 Sizzle Trailer' has been released. On top of containing the new launch day info, the promotional material also includes content that's yet to be formally announced for Project CARS 2 – including, but not limited to, the first-generation Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, the Ferrari F40 LM, the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Competizione and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class in a fictional rallycross specification.
More details on Project CARS 2 are expected to be revealed this weekend and next week during the E3 2017 expo.
