Game: Project CARS 2

Platform: PC, PS4, XBox One

Publisher: Bandai Namco

Release Date: 22/09/2017

It's September 22 which can only mean one thing: the release of the much-anticipated Project CARS 2 is here.

The sim, available across the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 platforms, features the largest amount of tracks ever seen in a console racer with 140 different track configurations. This is impressive enough, however when you also consider every configuration features all four seasons of grip-changing weather conditions as well as day to night transitions and you have a package which is unrivaled.

A colossal 29 motorsport series are also represented and you'll have over 180 different cars to choose from including household names from the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren and Porsche to name but a few. As with any launch, we, of course, have a brand new trailer to salivate over which you can view below.

To say that we’re thrilled to finally pull off the covers on Project CARS 2 would be an understatement,” said Stephen Viljoen, Game Director at Slightly Mad Studios for Project CARS 2. “Each team member at Slightly Mad Studios has poured their hearts, minds, and souls into the project with the expressed goal of delivering the most authentic motorsports experience a player can have outside of jumping into a real race car. Realism and authenticity were central to our development mantra throughout Project CARS 2’s development and we’re extremely excited to deliver on that promise and finally take players on their ultimate driver journey.

We recently got the team together to discuss our very early impressions of Project CARS 2. We touch on the sheer amount of content, the career mode, as well as other strengths and weaknesses of the title which you can view below. You can also look forward to our full review of Project CARS 2 soon with more video content on the title in the coming weeks.
