Project CARS 2 will see the inclusion of the Online Championships mode which will please many fans as after all, it was one of the most highly requested features.
The Online Championships will enable players to create a league-format championship which includes a number of rounds. For each round, players can choose which sessions to include along with the format, duration, weather conditions and location.
Once this is all decided upon, the actual drivers can then be invited, teams and cars can be selected and the action will kick off in the first of several rounds. Additionally PC players will benefit from being sent driver and team standings after each race session has been completed, keeping everyone up to date.
Slightly Mad Studios has also stated that as the Online Championship progresses, the Admin can make any adjustments to the schedule or locations of upcoming rounds along with applying any penalties from any infractions that may have accrued in a previous round.
No doubt we'll learn more about this exciting feature as we get ever close to release. Project CARS 2 is currently scheduled for a late 2017 release for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. We recently caught up with the Project CARS 2 creative director Andy Tudor to ask some questions on the upcoming racer which you can view below.
