Publisher: Bandai Namco

Release Date: 22/09/2017

It's not uncommon for major game releases to get limited and collectors editions with extra goodies and Project CARS 2 is no exception. As one of the most seminal racing game releases of the year, Project CARS 2 will be getting not one, not two, but three special editions packed with bonus game content and collector's merchandise.

Project CARS 2 Limited Edition

Available exclusively at GAME for £49.99, the Project CARS 2 Limited Edition includes the full game along with a sticker sheet, a classy steelbook featuring exclusive artwork of the McLaren 720s sliding in the snow, and the Japanese Cars Pack featuring four iconic cars from Honda and Nissan. The cars featured in the pack have not yet been revealed, but Slightly Mad hints that it will include two race cars, one concept car and one road car.

Project CARS 2 Collectors Edition

Opt for the Collectors Edition, and you'll receive all of the content included in the Limited Edition, as well as an esport Live VIP Pass, an art book, a 1/43 diecast scale model car of the McLaren 720S in an exclusive SMS-R Stealth Satin livery), the Season Pass and the Motorsport Pack DLC. It's currently available to preorder from most online retailers for £129.99.

Project CARS 2 Ultra Edition

For die-hard fans of the racing simulation series, the Project CARS 2 Ultra Edition "represents the most exclusive Project CARS edition ever." It includes the same content as the Collectors Edition, but the 1/43 model McLaren 720S is replaced with a larger 1/12 scale Resin McLaren 720S with an SMS-R Stealth Satin livery. You also get a signed poster, an individually-numbered Snapback cap and a McLaren Sketchbook made in collaboration with the manufacturer chronicling the development of the 720S sports car.

There's a catch, however – the Ultra Edition is limited to just 1,000 copies and is being sold exclusively on Amazon. And despite being listed for a whopping £430, it appears to have already sold out. In fairness, it isn't the most expensive racing game collectors edition ever released – that would be the GRiD 2 Mono Edition which gave you a real-life, road-legal BAC Mono sports car instead of a model.

Which version of Project CARS 2 will you be getting?
