News Porsche 911 R-GT rally car announced as WRC 7 pre-order bonus

Those who pre-order a copy of WRC 7 will have access to a unique pre-order bonus: an officially-sanctioned Porsche 911 rally car.

In particular, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is the exact example driven in this year's FIA R-GT Cup by current championship leader Romain Dumas.

As well as being one of only a handful of vehicles to be entered into an R-GT rally event, the Dumas-driven Porsche 911 pre-order bonus is also the first ever R-GT rally car to be included in a licensed WRC game.

It's currently unknown at time of writing if other R-GT cars (such as the Abarth124 R-GT or Lotus Exige R-GT) will feature in WRC 7. However, the Porsche's status as a pre-order incentive does perhaps indicate the 911 GT3 RS rally car will be the extent of the R-GT class' representation in the game.

Being pre-order DLC, it's also likely the vehicle will be made available to all WRC 7 owners at a later date as a premium add-on.
