Physics-based futuristic VR compatible racer Vector 36, currently available as an Early Access title, will race on to the PC, Mac and Linux this month which will be followed by a Xbox One version and eventually a PlayStation 4 version complete with PlayStation VR compatibility.

Vector 36, supported by the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift VR HMDs, will see you racing long in to the future on the planet Mars which humans have managed to successfully terraform.

You pilot a “skimmer” racing craft taking on various tracks which the red planet has to offer. Your crafts can be customised in many areas, tinkering with the many different parts, weapons and accessories is key to winning in fact.

The weapons will play more of a passive role in Vector 36 compared to other combat racers which keep the main focus on the racing itself. The developer has just recently released the last build before we see the full 1.0 release which should be coming within a matter of weeks, perhaps sooner.
