The very latest Team Sonic Racing trailer is here and it’s all about one thing: customisation.
The trailer lets us explore the customisation menu which is split between performance and cosmetic upgrades. Take a look for yourself below.
The Performance upgrades are split into three groups: Front, Rear and Wheels. Each of the various options has both positives and negatives as seen in the performance breakdown at the bottom left which includes parameters such as acceleration, boost, and handling among others.
In terms of cosmetic options, players can change their horns, colour schemes and vinyls. All upgrades look vibrant and glossy and are of a high quality as you would expect from a Sonic title.
We also get to see brief glimpses of a number of tracks during the trailer giving us a tantalising look at what lays in store.
Developed by Sumo Digital (both Sonic All-Stars Racing titles), Team Sonic Racing focuses on team-based racing.
The game features 15 playable Sonic universe characters which divided into one of the following three classes: Speed, Technique, and Power. Each character has a total of nine unique upgrades some of which can be seen in the trailer above.
Team Sonic Racing supports 12-player online and four-player split-screen local multiplayer races. The colourful racer will slide its way onto the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on May 21, 2019.
