Indie developer Insane Code has recently announced that their OutRun-esque title 80's overdrive is on for a Q1/Q2 2017 release for the Nintendo 3DS.
To accompany the announcement Insane Code has released a new gameplay trailer which gives us a brief look at some of the different environments as a car that looks suspiciously like a Lamborghini Countach (see below) tears up the track.
The retro racer features two modes: career (with 30+ events) and time attack. The last we heard, the development team were also looking to add a track editor if things go to plan.
Tracks are split into eight graphical themes and there will be at least six supercars which can be upgraded in several areas to improve their acceleration, top speed and handling. Cars can be also equipped with a police radar and have nitro boosts at their disposal which sounds fun.
We'll keep you up to date on the actual release date as soon as we hear more.
