BlazeRush, developed by Targem Games (the same team which gave us Armageddon Riders), which is probably best described as a fun top-down arcade combat racer, has now landed on the PlayStation 4 console via the PlayStation Network.

BlazeRush (which was previously available on the PlayStation 3 and PC (with Oculus Rift DK2 support)) is perhaps most likely going to be compared with Micro Machines thanks to its top-down retro style and fast-paced racing along with its combat elements of course. However BlazeRush differentiates itself from similar games in the racing genre, not with any additional features, but actually with what it leaves out – in Blazerush you have no brakes!

To get a good idea of the action found in BlazeRush along with the various weapons and dozens of environments across three planets, check out the teaser trailer below.

BlazeRush on the PlayStation 4 features local multiplayer for up to 4 players and eight players can battle it out online. There are several different gameplay modes in BlazeRush including time trials, survival and death race. Death race is perhaps the most frantic mode as you’re chased down by a huge evil bulldozer which gobbles up any and all vehicles which happen to get too close.

You can purchase BlazeRush on the PlayStation Network for a reasonable price of £7.99.
