Gaijin Entertainment and Targem Games have recently released some new screenshots of their upcoming post-apocalyptic vehicular combat MMO game Crossout for the PC.
The new screens showcase the chemical plant environment which comes complete with some very acidic looking puddles, which dev team states “You definitely don't want to fall in that, promise!“. The story goes, the chemical plant was left without maintenance after the catastrophe of the alien invasion and has become a very dangerous place full of chemicals and viruses. Take a look at the images below.
Crossout will put you up against other human players as you do battle in your custom built and upgraded armoured vehicle. Each new part will affect the performance of the vehicle, which can range from the small and nimble right up to the big and heavy depending on your preferences. Designing you vehicle will include deciding on its shape, armour, weapons, support systems and any cosmetic enhancements you desire.
Each vehicle has a very clever damage model, so you can specifically target a particular part of your enemy's vehicle. For example, you can concentrate on taking out your enemy's main weapon to reduce their combat effectiveness. Two days ago, the development team stated that they plan on launching the game's closed beta in August which will be followed by a Steam release sometime later. You can sign up for the beta at the game's official webpage.
