News New Rocket League TV ad shows a real car saving a certain goal

TV adverts for video games have been a bit hit and miss over the years, however I'm happy to say that the latest advert for Rocket League is actually worth watching.

The very first TV advertisement for Rocket League starts by showing a game of football played by kids. One of the kids dribbles well into the opposing half and the goal keeper braces for the imminent shot. The shot flies majestically through the sky as the goal keeper clutches the air in hope of deflecting it wide of the goal.

Despite the best efforts of the goal keeper, the ball passes beyond the gloves destined for a definite goal….that is until (presumably one of the Childs' parents) drives their Ford Mustang on to the pitch to save the ball from a certain goal. One of the kids is then shown saying “what a save” (one of the many predefined chat phrases in Rocket League.
