News on the Road Rash-inspired Road Redemption, an indie bike combat title developed by DarkSea Games following a successful Kickstarter campaign, hasn’t been forthcoming lately, but a new gameplay video showcases how the game has progressed since the Kickstarter campaign.
Again, the gameplay shown is from an early pre-alpha build of the game which will no doubt undergo lots of optimisation over the next few months. As such, Road Redemption still looks a little ragged despite the notable graphical improvements since we last saw it last year.

Still, watching Road Redemption instantly rekindles memories of the original Road Rash – which is exactly the point. Indeed, it certainly passes as an unofficial spiritual successor to the lost series, with bikes weaving through winding desert roads and riders attacking each other with all manner of weapons – a traditional baseball bat along with a early versions of an uzi and grenade launcher can be seen.
We hope to see more of Road Redemption as it develops and will certainly try and get a hands-on at some stage.
