News New Forza Motorsport 6 advert pays tribute to racing games of yesteryear

Microsoft have published a new television advert for Forza Motorsport 6 entitled “Legacy”. The advert is a celebration of the progression of racing videogames from their very humble beginnings back in the 70's.
Many favourite racing games get a nod in the advert including the likes of Pole Position, Chase HQ and Ridge Racer among others, it's very well made and I can't but smile having played some of these titles as a youngster.
“With the introduction of Forza Motorsport 6, as real as it gets racing, has become a reality. Every pixel and line of code ever written has been leading up to this moment. And the dreams of every game developer and every gamer who's ever made or played a racing game over the past 40-years are finally being realized. With unrelenting action in full HD and state-of-the-art physics at simulation speed and the most cars and tracks of this generation, this is Forza Motorsport 6 and this is what we’ve been racing towards.”
The TV advert is scheduled to go live this weekend apparently to coincide with the Formula One Italian Grand Prix. Forza Motorsport 6 will launch on September 18 in the UK exclusively for the Xbox One. Cast your eyes on the advert below and let us know if it gave you a tingling nostalgic feeling.
