After a week of silence, Evolution Studios have unleashed a new gameplay video of the PS4's flagship racing game DriveClub. Sorry to disappoint you, but no, it's not the full race gameplay video we've been promised, but another brief snippet of fresh gameplay barely spanning over 10 seconds. Talk about feeding us table scraps.

Not that we're complaining, mind you. Set in the Scottish highlands in the midst of a high octane chase, the brief video once again serves as a reminder of just how beautiful DriveClub is to behold. The most notable visual improvement on display here, though, is the scintillating dynamic skies, which have apparently been updated for this video.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/en_US/all.js#xfbml=1”; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));

A special mention must also go to those engine sounds. As we found out in our interview with Evolution, the team have gone to great lengths ot ensure that the cars in DriveClub sound authentic, and the results speak for themselves. Unlike Gran Turismo's lackluster audio effects that resemble dying Dyson vacuum cleaners, DriveClub's cars sound savagely organic.

No doubt this won't be the last we see of DriveClub in the near future, so keep checking back here on TeamVVV.com for more updates.

For more insight into the development of DriveClub, check out our recent two part interview with Evolution : Part one discusses DriveClub's innovative community features and how they have been implemented into the game modes, whereas part two provides a technical insight into the painstaking development of creating cutting edge graphics and audio that utilise the power of the PS4.
