After our initial hands-on sessions with EA Ghost's Need for Speed: Rivals at past gaming conventions this year, we've been invited to try out a new build of the game. And, at last, we've been allowed to bring the video cameras!
In the first of our three-part collection of direct-feed videos, Alan shows us his first hands-on of this latest reboot for the Need for Speed franchise, mashed together in one big collage piece of clips, briefly going over the changes that've been made to the lighting, graphics, features and gameplay mechanics over previous NFS titles.
Accompanying all this is Alan's usual insightful commentary on his first impressions on not only the game itself, but how it fits in with the series' new direction and why other games, like a reboot of Need for Speed: Underground, simply wouldn't fit in with the brand's current identity right now.
If all goes well, we should have Parts 2 and 3 ready to go live in the coming days, so do keep checking back to the Team VVV site for our inbound Need for Speed: Rivals hands-on w/ commentary videos, along with the latest racing game coverage.
