Electronic Arts have confirmed that the PC version of Need for Speed will release on March 17. However players with an Origin subscription can get their hands on the game as early as March 10.
The PC version will come with some rather tasty updates, chief of which is the option to have manual transmission finally along with racing wheel support. Also available for PC players is support for 4k resolution and of course unlocked frame rates.
According to Electronic Arts “a selection of wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec” will be supported however no list has yet been revealed. Manual transmission was added purely thanks to community feedback, hopefully this will start the trend for all future Need for Speed games to come with this option as standard.
The PC version of Need for Speed will come with the Icons and Legends update thrown in from day one, with the Showcase update due for release shortly after the game launches.
