The Ford Mustang used in the recently-released Need for Speed movie will be going under the hammer next month.
Having miraculously survived the stunt sequences of the video game tie-in blockbuster, the Ford Mustang featured in the film will be bartered for at Barrett-Jackson's 12th annual Palm Beach auction, which runs from April 11th to April 13th.
The proceeds from the winning bid will be donated to the Henry Ford Health System, a not-for-profit healthcare organisation that operates in the city of Detroit and the surrounding areas.
Other cars from the big screen will also be auctioned off alongside the Need for Speed movie Mustang, with the two most noteworthy examples being a pair of 1969 Dodge Chargers (one which featured in the 2005 'Dukes of Hazzard' film, the other used by Vin Diesel and the late Paul Walker in 'Fast 5).
Chevrolet will also be donating the first 2015 model year Corvette Z06 to the Barrett-Jackson lot, with all the proceeds going to the Michigan-based Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
