Need for Speed: Loco Motive speed challenge gameplay

We are currently busy working our way through Need for Speed's career mode and decide to showcase one of the game's missions.

The Loco Motive speed challenge mission is basically a sprint race against 6 AI drivers. It's worth noting that we are using a fairly low-powered car for this video and so you can expect the game to run much faster with the more powerful cars.

The race gives us a decent look at Need for Speed's impressive looking graphics, the AI cars for instance have a nice sheen and solidity to them which can be espicially seen when you're right up against them. We also see Need for Speed's night into dawn and back transiitons which blankets the game in darkness for most of the time.

We're finding the drift setting to be better suited to the game rather than the grip setting as it's not only easier to drift of course, but also easier to get around those tight bends that the game can throw at you. Check out the Need for Speed action below and we'll have more on the way soon.
