Dusenberry Martin Racing (DMR) has released their NASCAR simulation racer NASCAR Heat Evolution today (although it will not release in the UK sadly). Editor's note: it turns out UK users can purchase it on Steam but not on consoles unless you import it.
The officially licensed NASCAR title is the first of its kind to release on current generation platforms and as you would expect it features the competitive action, excitement and strategy of very high speed stock car racing.
“NASCAR Heat Evolution marks the beginning of a new era in NASCAR digital games from Dusenberry Martin Racing,” said DMR Chief Executive Officer Tom Dusenberry. “From day one, DMR’s main focus was to provide a fun, authentic NASCAR experience to all fans. NASCAR Heat Evolution is all about the drivers, and I truly believe we have delivered.”
NASCAR Heat Evolution features the full range of the 23 officially sanctioned tracks along with all the top drivers and teams. Game modes include Quick Race, Championship (season) Mode, Career Mode and you can even relive classic racing moments in the game's Challenge Mode.
Interestingly, NASCAR Heat Evolution features an adaptive single-player AI which reacts to each driver’s performance to provide ample challenge for veteran and newcomers alike.
NASCAR Heat Evolution also boasts a first for a NASCAR game: online competitive multiplayer. In total as many as 40 (a full grid) racers can get in on the action in the competitive multiplayer mode. Multiple tailored lobbies offer drivers the option to choose which challenges they’d like to tackle, from the anything goes nature of “No Rules” to the more serious “Normal” and the personalised option of “Hosted.”
DMR will support NASCAR Heat Evolution after launch with a set of free and paid DLC offerings which include new challenges, paint schemes and spotter audio. Today, NASCAR Heat Evolution players will receive free Toyota-themed DLC each month through the end of the year through a partnership with Toyota. Additional paid DLC is available to purchase today individually or as part of the Pit Pass Bundle 1 via the PlayStation Store, Xbox Games Store and Steam.
