Developers Monster Games and Dusenberry Martin Racing have announced that NASCAR Heat Evolution will be heading towards the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms on September 13.
This news marks the very first time a NASCAR title will arrive for the current generation of consoles which is great news for NASCAR fans and long overdue I might add. NASCAR Heat Evolution will include a number of NASCAR Sprint Cup series cars and drivers as you might expect and features no less than 23 real-world licensed tracks.
As is the case with videogame announcements, we of course have the obligatory reveal trailer to feast our eyes on. However I think it's fair to say that as far as reveal trailers go, this one is rather disappointing, the ten second “trailer” just reveals the game's name and release date with no game play whatsoever. Still you can check it out below.
Monster Games President Richard Garcia has this to say about the upcoming NASCAR title: “The Monster Games team is thrilled to partner again with Tom, Ed and the Dusenberry Martin Racing team. We have been working on NASCAR Heat Evolution for 18 months and are excited about what we have created. From day one, our goal has been to deliver a fun, engaging and realistic racing game designed for NASCAR fans."
"The gaming space allows fans to consume our sport on a daily basis, ultimately helping grow and diversify our audience,” said Blake Davidson, Vice President of Consumer Products and Licensing, NASCAR. “Our fans have eagerly anticipated the arrival of a new NASCAR game, and we expect that NASCAR Heat Evolution will be well worth the wait.”
NASCAR Heat Evolution will feature Carl Edwards as the cover star (seen below) as he was the first Toyota driver to cross the finish line at the recently held NASCAR Sprint All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Please note that the cover art below is not the final version.
We can expect more details on NASCAR Heat Evolution in the coming months, we'll of course keep you guys up to date.
