MXGP 2 will be landing on PS4, Xbox One and PC March 31st 2016, Milestone has revealed.
So far we've seen very little of MXGP 2. While we've seen a few screenshots, we've yet to see any gameplay footage, which perhaps isn't surprising since all the spotlight is currently on the imminent release of Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO. Milestone has teased that we can expect more info soon.
MXGP 2 follows Milestone's first MXGP title released back in 2013 before being ported to PS4 last year, adding full bike and rider customisation in the vein of Ride and MotoGP 15 before it, along with the introduction of indoor arena events to the series. MXGP 2's full track list was also recently unveiled, featuring 18 tracks and locations.
The release of MXGP 2 will come at a pivotal time for Milestone, in what will undoubtedly be another packed year for the Milan-based studio, arriving after the release of Sebastien Loeb Rally EVO and before 2016's official MotoGP game, which will shake up the formula by paying tribute to Valentino Rossi in the imaginatively-titled Valentino Rossi: The Game.

It's perhaps unfortunate that MXGP 2 coincides with the console release of DiRT Rally released just a few days later on April 5th. Yes, the fact one's a car game and one's a bike game sets them apart, but there's a fair chance the average gamer will only be able to afford one racing game during that period.
Are you looking forward to kicking up some mud in MXGP 2 next year?
