Game: MotorStorm: Apocalypse

Platform: PS3

Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment

Release Date: 16/03/2011

Motorstorm Apocalypse, the third main title in the much-loved Motorstorm series, has seen its servers shut down last night.

This means that all the online features are now disabled, leaving just the single-player portion available to players.

This practice is common with older titles as they come to the end of their life cycles.

Motorstorm Apocalypse released in 2011 and divided opinion thanks to its all-new urban setting. Not just any urban setting though, but one that is decaying around you thanks to an earthquake that is literally tearing the city apart (hence the “Apocalypse” part).

We enjoyed the title thanks to its bombastic nature and adrenaline-soaked gameplay, however, we understand that it may not be for Motorstorm purists.

Why not let us know if you have any fond memories of the title, or if you felt it strayed too far from the formula which made the series great.
